English muffins rising, waiting for the pie to bubble, mole accomplished & it’s just simmering… That means I can get off my feet for a moment.
While I was doing that, the little girls & their father decorated the house with Halloween stuff. My goodness. That’s a lot of Halloween stuff.
Amazingly, despite […]

Got the stroganoff started. There’s going to be lots of left overs. Holy cow, there’s a lot in that crock pot. Also got the plans laid out for the bread marathon that commences this evening. I need to make sammich bread for the week, & double the starter for tomorrow’s cheddar, chive, & potato bread. […]
Got a call from the school nurse today. She said, ‘oh gosh, we don’t have all of M2’s vaccination info & uh, so, she has to be vaccinated for varicella (chicken pox) or you have to sign the exemption form, see, it’s this new Washington state law… even if they’ve had chicken pox.”

M2 is dressed to the nines this morning already. I’m not sure what M1 is doing, reading maybe in her bedroom? Ah, now she’s out here telling her bff S all about the first week of school. BUT underlying all this, is a barely contained glee & excitement because Today is […]
Today was M2’s First Day of Kindergarten. She survived. She even had fun. She, of course, told Gramma & Grampa *much* more about her day than she told us. In a round about way I found out that one of the boys at her table “touched” her. Depending on the telling, he either tickled her […]
