My keyboard is starting to add in extra spaces. Totally pissing me off, not to mention making it difficult to type in passwords correctly the first try without pulling up notepad.
It was a good Christmas. Weird. Not ideal, but considering the circumstances & all… The little girls got a couple board games from Santa & we got a tricky version of five-in-a-row from my brother (that M2 *kills* at — omg, she’s alarmingly good at it). They’ve been getting a lot of use. I fully intend to play more of them tomorrow. I wish we had another puzzle in the house too. We did one Christmas Eve that we finished just as my folks got to our house Christmas day. They *really* wanted to see us — it would have been the first time since I was born that they wouldn’t have seen me so when I said, ‘I’m really just not confident enough to drive in this,’ my dad said, “ok, we’ll be there some time after lunch.” Sure enough. Of course, they got stuck coming into our culdesac so there was a lot of shoveling involved in getting them in & parked, and then again, trying to get out, more shoveling. But I’m very glad I got to see everyone & exchange gifts. And I’m very glad that I wasn’t trying to drive *my* little car over that stuff.
Started a local installation of Zope & Plone CMS on my Brand New flash drive. Didn’t take me long to get to the wipe & reinstall stage. But I learned a bunch so hopefully the next round goes more smoothly. We’ll see. I’d like to go through & do it with Drupal too. No, no reason really except that it’s something I want to do. Go in and mess around with ‘em just for kicks & giggles.
Got some entertaining reading too. The Toolbox for Sustainable Living & a book on classification theory. Wheeeeeee!
All that & so much more. I’ve reached that point in the evening where it’s easy to get distracted by the fish swimming around sleepily in their tank. I think that means it’s time to go take a bath…
