The Motto Of Pierre: Care!
Nothing like a little Shel Silverstein in the last few days of the year.
I think I like this layout better. Poppies, poppies, poppies. Poppies make me think of popcorn. OM NOM NOM NOM.
I see Cirque du Soleil is coming to town late April-early May. CIRCUSCIRCUSCIRCUS!
I’ve been doing laundry all day. Another load just finished & I need to move the stuff out of the dryer, then the stuff in the washing machine to the dryer. Woo. For eleven days of vacation, it really seems more like it’s just been extended chore time with some built in not-quite-guilt-free naptime. Yesterday I recaulked the bathtub. Today I cleaned the girls’ room & did laundry. I got a little yoga in yesterday, but the rest of my vaca has been woefully noga. BOO! I also keep forgetting to eat until it’s one or so in the afternoon. Unscheduled time has always been difficult for me to gauge. Meh.
I have flickers of sparkly things in the back of my mind. Also flickering thoughts of what I want to do in the next year. Flickery sparkly colorful happy things. I want my house whole life to be a speigeltent of fancy & fun & creativity. That’s what I want in the next year. Of course, what exactly I mean by that, I don’t know, which causes some small problem in both the visualization & realization departments. Hopefully the flickering will congeal into something coherent-ish and achievable prior to the end of the year.
Work, I suspect, will continue to be the careening Monty Python sketch wherein the small financial firm does a bunch of massive pirate-like take-overs, sailing up to big institutions in their little building and jumping wildly through windows. It’s an odd place sometimes, but entertaining on occasion. Definitely a place where I’m given a lot of leeway to take things on. How all that fits in with the spiegel-sparkle is also not yet apparent. All things become clear in time. Except those that don’t.
Dresden Dolls sing Pierre! Because they’re Just That Cool.
