A Disjointed, Ambly Update
Pulled the banjo out of the storage unit today. Even actually played it! The only tuning & chords I had lying around for it were for banjo tuned to G, so that’s what I went with. I got the rest of my music & the rest of my spinning stuff out of storage as well. M1 & I carded a bunch of wool this afternoon, I played around on the banjer for a while… we ambled out to a park while someone came & saw the house.
M2 was mad at me because we went to a park & I wouldn’t let her go down the slides. Um, yeah, you have chicken pox. Want to go down slides! You have chicken pox. Want to go down slides! Instead we sat around in a field away from pretty much everyone else & read or blew bubbles or whatever. She had a fever on Wednesday & Thursday so we kinda figured what was coming up. Thursday she looked like she’d been skewered from to back with a solitary pock that went clear through (so there was one on her back & one correspondingly on the front. That was the case Friday morning too. I figured we’d have seen more Thursday night & spent a good part of Friday thinking we’d escaped more or less, but by Friday night they were sprouting & she’s sufficiently sprouted to think it’s unlikely for her to get them again. She’s been sleeping in just her pull ups because it’s been hot. Tonight she went to bed with an ice pack tucked in the back of them like a little battery pack or something because the one in the middle of her back itched & the pull up holds the ice pack in the perfect place. For the fourth of July my auntie traditionally gets the girls t-shirts. This year M2’s said, “Firecracker.” Pretty much sums the girl up. There was another M2 story I wanted to note, but can’t remember now. It’ll no doubt appear as soon as I’ve shut everything down.
