Poxied

So M1 is doing well all things considered. I’m not sure what’s worse, the itching itself or the indignity of some of the places it itches the worst. The call & response around here all day between M1 & M2 was, “Ohhh, itchy itchy itchy!” “Pooor baby!” “Itchy!” “Oh poor baby, poor baby!”, etc, etc.

I don’t second guess a lot of my decisions as a parent. This is one of those times though. I made the best decisions I could based on the information at hand, & I think that’s about all one can do…

Of course, nights are bad because there’s nothing to distract… tried getting her to take benadryl to help cut down on the itchy, but M1 being M1 is resistant to taking medicine. The couch seems to be more comfortable for her than her bed, so right now she’s curled up out here, I made her lie all the way down though, no sitting perched up. I don’t know — it might just be more about proximity to Mommy as well as the distraction of Iron Chef America…

The Pogues are in a commercial? I think my haid just asploded. Also? Oh my achin’ back. You kids get offa my damn lawn. And stay off!

Where was I? Oh right. So, M2 through this has been not only her high activity, impossible to slow down kid, but also pretty clingy & “don’t leave me alone!” I think she’s watching M1 & she’s very concerned. Worried even. And I can’t say I blame her.

Edited to add: M1 is much much much more chipper today, though she’s still getting a few new spots on her arms & legs, most of the ones on her chest & places that were making her so indignant yesterday seem to have “crusted”.
