M1 — “Cat butts & jalapenos are very different things.”

Neighbor walks by & says, “Wow! Your daughter really looks like you!” I look at M2 in confusion because she’s the only one outside with me & she doesn’t look like me at all & back to the neighbor. She says, “The older one.” “OH! YES! She does look like me!”
Last week was a pretty good week, I think. I’m left kind of tired & wondering if I have the drive to do everything that needs done, but it’s a momentary thing that hits me every now & again. I got a lot done — M2′s pediatric cardiologist visit, started the process to get my 401K from my last job rolled over, started the process to get life insurance set up, it seems I did something on Tuesday & Wednesday besides work, but maybe it was just work on those two days. Thursday pertaining to work, we formalized a path forward & I heard back on my salary review (yay!), yesterday I took care of all the editorial stuff for hipmama/mamaphonic that I’d blown off all week.
This morning I woke up fretting (don’t ask, I’m putting the paranoia back in a jar on a high shelf), took M1 to swimming lessons, then did a bunch of gardening. The front of the house looks not entirely kept, but looks at least as though someone is making some sort of effort to do so. Of course, now my wrist hurts like nobody’s business. I got started trimming the suckers at the foot of the pear tree in front. That made my wrist hurt promptly &
OH! And then while I was gardening, the mailman delivered a book to me — one of my mamaphonic mamas has written a book, so of course I had to order it. And it was delivered today! And she signed it for me! And it was such a nice inscription. :) I have a new book to read! Yay! FTR: Future Generation: The Zine-Book For Subculture Parents, Kids, Friends And Others. Good times!
