There

I’m letting my ALA & SLA memberships lapse & taking up membership in ASIS&T. Much more appropriate since I deal in libraries pretty much not at all & I deal with information science & technology all the time. Plus — way too freaking expensive to maintain all memberships now that I’m not a student, otherwise I’d keep SLA too just for the Information Outlook.

M1 seemed much perkier this evening than she had all weekend. To the point of asking if she could do dishes? Chores? She did her homework with glee… I can’t decide whether it was the fact that she finally took some tylenol/motrin/whatever that stuff is or if she’s just really genuinely feeling better. I hope she’s just really genuinely feeling better. As hard as the wild excess energy of childhood can be to deal with, it’s far & beyond the preferable option to sick kid-ness… Of course, M2 insisted on watching Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (original) for the second time this afternoon (last night being the first time — both girls *loved* it), and ended up not napping, so by 6 or so she was exhausted & walking into things, and standing up into things, and falling off things, etc, etc.

Right. Willy Wonka. M1 was fascinated, and M2 was *obsessed* with the Oompa Loompas. “Ooompah OOOMpa!” Mwahahahaha. My eeevil plan is working thus far. Now M1 will understand what I’m saying when I or her father says, “Stop acting like Veruca Salt.” Heh.
