Mwahahahahaha!

You know, you really probably do have time today to do your taxes.

I did ‘em last weekend. We’re getting enough of a refund to pay off the balance of one car & have a little left over. So I did something else I’ve been meaning to do. I filed all our bills, statements, etc for pretty much the last year. I also got rid of the “to file folder.” We have a perfectly good file thingy where we keep everything for the current year, in theory… it’s just that everything went into the “to file folder” and never made it into the current year file thingy, which is just as portable & less likely to spill all over the floor when it gets full. It is slightly heavier, I suppose, but it’s got a built in organizing structure… Which is, I suppose, neither here nor there. Anyway, so that task is taken care of.

Also? I checked on those library books that are nearing due. Friday. They’re going back. The humor of not getting a book called “Getting Things Done” on time is not lost on me. When I was doing recall, some of the best responses I got regarding recalled library materials came from folks who had borrowed time management stuff. One of my favorites was just two lines. “Just returned. Review: this book fails it’s own mission.” Heh.
