Happy Chinese New Year!

Today think about what you want to use your living room for. Now go in there and look at it with new eyes; is it serving those purposes?

Our living room is a bizarre shape, long & rectangular. It merges into our “dining” space & kitchen in a very open way. We have a rug down in the living room to help create a “space” for the living room. After five years of tweaking, I think we have it pretty well set to function as well as it can. Our downstairs space is an entirely different matter. Totally under-utilized. Totally cut off from the rest of the house, too.

On the upside, got rid of two boxes of books yesterday by letting my brother & his fiancee go through them & take what they wanted. :) Gotta get the rest to donations…
