Random Update

Yesterday was lovely. We started out by dropping the kids at my aunt’s as usual. Then we went to a video store. Since we were in Fremont, we parked and aimlessly dawdled for a bit, missing entirely the lingerie shop. < rolling eyes > We saw it as we drove off to Varlamos for our lunch. Next time. As it turns out, they’re doing what appears to be raising a new telephone pole or something right in front of Varlamos, so it was on to plan B — Gorditos. Initially we were just going to get it to go & eat at Carkeek, but we were ready to eat by the time we got to order, so we just ate there. I love Gorditos. We went to Carkeek afterwards & found a secluded little bench overlooking the water away from the people. After a bit there, we went to Costco, then came home. My parents had visited in our absence, briefly (I have inherited a butt ugly hanging lamp that provides really nice lighting to the room), then went & picked up the kids. Reluctantly. It was a very, very nice day. It was a busy day. Most uncharacteristically, I was quite ready to collapse into bed around 10 (of course, by the time bath was done, it was 10:45, but who’s counting?).

Today swimming was good. M2 rocked the pool. It’s a tie between having a good time playing with the squirty turtle (which as the instructor pointed out “matches the one on your swimsuit!”) or jumping off the edge. I think jumping off the edge may edge everything else out. She was standing up & taking flying leaps when the rest of the kids were just sitting on the edge. So cute.

The rest of today will probably be spent chasing the girls, trying to keep M2 out of the dirt, and painting (I hope)…
