Oops, I Ran It Again

1.5 miles today. Further than yesterday. I didn’t run as much in comparison, but then, I started by going up a really long hill. Still did better than I thought I might, but not as good as I might have thought based on yesterday.

I love where I live. I love running past the sweet hot blackberries baking in the sun. I love that I can smell either the sound or the lake, depending on which way the wind is blowing. I love that there was a nice breeze for the duration.

I get a little skittish around stopped cars and lone people, but I think that says more about me than them. There was a guy waiting for a bus that I ran past. He said, “I’m proud of you!” We had a very minor polite exchange (especially minor because I didn’t stop running), and I felt bad for being skittish (although I don’t think he noticed anything).

Running is good. I love the endorphin rush at the end.
