Fluff
African Violets are so fussy. It was just not doing well at work, so I brought it home. I think it missed its spot nestled at the bottom of the ficus (not that it was doing all that hot there either… but some of that has to do with the fact that it’s in desperate need of repotting). I need something green at work. It’s so gray there. Gray & shades of baby shit yellow & some weird shade of blue. I just took a sprout off one of my spider plants & I potted that & am taking that in. One of my coworkers has a really gorgeous ivy (’cept it’s not, I can’t remember what it is… a pretty vine-y thing) & I don’t know how he does it. Whatever it is, it’s thriving & awesome. I should ask him for a cutting (not that the spider plant is going to die. Heh). Come to think of it, I have a number of things requiring repotting… of course, that means I need a place for them too.
Finished my chocolate brown yarn. It’s nice & fluffy. I have just over 400 yards, I think. Too much for a hat, not enough for a sweater. Something will come to me, but if anyone has recommendations… I started mixing down white merino with a beautiful teal/mixed color blend… I don’t know how I feel about it yet. I’m sort of thinking I might rather just keep them separate. I wrote it down, can’t remember if I got four ounces of each or six. I’m leaning towards six. I might leave that project for another time when I’m more inspired & go back to finishing off the green merino/silk blend I’ve been working on since Xmas. Silk by it’s lonesome is very flyaway stuff. Not my favorite fiber by itself… but it makes a really nice yarn when it’s mixed in…
