My brother just finished the Boston Marathon…
3:20:52- official time,
3:19:31 net time,
2284 overall,
2106 for men,
1396 in his division.

Because, you know, he’s an awesome possum.

My Dad says:

He’s doing fine — said the last mile was pretty hard. His feet & knees were fine, but his hamstring tightened up on him and he thought his shoes were going to give him some blisters. He enjoyed the run. Said he waved at John Kerry, who was at the starting line — John gave Alan a thumbs-up in response.

UPDATED UPDATE:
Alan just called. Apparently he was sick most of the night before too. He was really happy though, said it was an awesome experience and that he had a really good time. He wrote his name on his arm & people were yelling “GO ALAN!” — no doubt on our absent behalf. Awesome possum indeed.
