Meh
I’d much rather do other things than my homework. I’ve got a major case of short-timer’s syndrome. These things so far today have included looking at alarmingly high heeled shoes, very shiny clothing that I suspect I’d look dreadful in but other people look oh-so-nice in, some stuff involving rope (or lines, if you’re a sailor-type), compulsively checking my bloglines/eljayfriends/liberry-forum, and in general just messing around avoiding the work I’m supposed to be doing. Like say… now.
Besides all the online messing around I’ve been doing, I spun 4 oz (128 yards) of this beautiful roving with shades of pink & purple & green that looks kinda lilac plant-y. It’s beautiful, but I fear that I need 40 ounces (around 1300 yards) to make a sweater & I’m trying to remember, but I think it’s $2.00 or $2.40 or something per ounce of this stuff. I’m just not good enough at knitting yet to spend that much money on making a sweater for myself — spin it, I can do, but knitting it? I have fear of the potential end result. Better to do a sweater out of something else first. Maybe this stuff would make a pretty wrap (it’s so beautiful & soft — if my brother didn’t have the digital camera for the Boston Marathon, I’d have posted pics by now, it’s so beautiful). Anyway, so yeah. I spun four ounces from Friday evening to this afternoon. The twist is setting even now. Which means, not so much on the homework front. Although I only have this one thing for one of my classes that I’m procrastinating on now… Although gosh, M1 splashed water all over both the book & the print-outs of articles for this class tonight in her bath & they’re really wet & the pages are all easy to tear & stuff so maybe I shouldn’t mess with it until it’s dry… Yeah. Right.
Yeah. Ok. Gonna try to suck it up & try to make it look like my work week actually pertained to what we covered in class this week. If I can remember what that was…
