It’s Official. She’s Six.
Small, not so quiet festivities tonight. Big social festivities on Saturday.
She had a FABULOUS day at school. She got a special crown that she got to wear all day, as well as a pin. On Monday we get to take goodies for the class (the beloved teacher forgot to call us last night, as if two nights before payday we could have brought anything today but bulk uncooked spaghetti noodles from Costco). The entire class sang Happy Birthday to her right before recess.
For presents, she got girly & rockin’ clothes, and a toy or two, and, And, AND a new bike! It doesn’t have training wheels. She is apprehensive about this. But she’ll learn. I have no fear. (Well maybe a little, but I think she can do it. It’s mostly the hollering if she scrapes her knees falling off or something).
And the adored JainaBee called, as did Gramma and Grampa and Dad… and come to think of it, the other Gramma might have called as well. She went to bed a Very Happy (and tired) Girl. A SIX year old girl, as I’ve heard all day… :)
